That's absolutely wonderful! Now turn
with me to 1 Timothy 6:17. Does our
God give us things to meet our needs?
Yes, He does! The Spirit of the living
God said to Timothy through the
Apostle Paul in 1 Timothy 6:12:
12 FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH,
LAY HOLD ON ETERNAL LIFE,
WHEREUNTO THOU ART ALSO
CALLED, AND HAST PROFESSED A
GOOD PROFESSION BEFORE MANY
WITNESSES.
ORDER TO SIT IN IT ON THE SEA, AND
THE WHOLE CROWD WAS AT THE
LAKESIDE ON THE SHORE.
Now verse 3, AMPC:
3 GIVE ATTENTION TO THIS! BEHOLD,
A SOWER WENT OUT TO SOW.
THE SOWER SOWS THE WORD!
Remember now that Jesus said the
thief comes to steal, kill and destroy.
In that order! Now verse 15, AMPC:
Now verses 17-19:
Now that's truly amazing! Verse 14:
14 THE SOWER SOWETH THE WORD.
19 AND MY GOD WILL LIBERALLY
SUPPLY (FILL TO THE FULL) YOUR
EVERY NEED ACCORDING TO HIS
RICHES IN GLORY IN CHRIST JESUS.
There you have it. If the devil can't
steal The WORD, he can't kill and
destroy! But we still don't have the
bottom line to what the Master was
teaching: "IF ANY MAN HAVE EARS TO
HEAR, LET HIM HEAR"! That's verse 23.
Then verse 24 says: "Take heed what
ye hear." On to verse 25: "For he that
hath [ears to hear], to him [more]
shall be given: and he that hath not
[ears to hear], from him shall be taken
even that which he hath." By whom?
The devil! Now let's look at Philippians
4:19, AMPC:
15 THE ONES ALONG THE PATH ARE
THOSE WHO HAVE THE WORD SOWN
[IN THEIR HEARTS], BUT WHEN THEY
HEAR, SATAN COMES AT ONCE AND
[BY FORCE] TAKES AWAY THE
MESSAGE WHICH IS SOWN IN THEM.
17 CHARGE THEM THAT ARE RICH IN
THIS WORLD, THAT THEY BE NOT
HIGHMINDED,
NOR TRUST IN
UNCERTAIN RICHES, BUT IN THE
LIVING GOD, WHO GIVETH US RICHLY
ALL THINGS TO ENJOY;
18 THAT THEY DO GOOD, THAT THEY
BE RICH IN GOOD WORKS, READY TO
DISTRIBUTE, WILLING TO
COMMUNICATE;
19 LAYING UP IN STORE FOR
THEMSELVES A GOOD FOUNDATION
AGAINST THE TIME TO COME, THAT
THEY MAY LAY HOLD ON ETERNAL
LIFE.
He gives us richly ALL THINGS TO
ENJOY! How? Second Corinthians 5:7
says, "For we walk by faith and not by
sight." Faith is a spiritual force. Let's
look first at Hebrews 11:1:
1 NOW FAITH IS THE SUBSTANCE OF
THINGS HOPED FOR, THE EVIDENCE
OF THINGS NOT SEEN.
Now look at it in the AMPC:
1 NOW FAITH IS THE ASSURANCE
(THE CONFIRMATION, THE TITLE
DEED) OF THE THINGS [WE] HOPE
FOR, BEING THE PROOF OF THINGS
[WE] DO NOT SEE AND THE
13 AND HE SAID TO THEM, DO YOU
NOT DISCERN AND UNDERSTAND
THIS PARABLE? HOW THEN IS IT
POSSIBLE FOR YOU TO DISCERN AND
UNDERSTAND ALL THE PARABLES?
