ommunity sports venues are evolving into vital
hubs within our communities, offering not only
recreational opportunities but also valuable programs,
educational initiatives, and health enhancements for
the families they cater to. Yet, their impact extends
beyond the immediate beneficiaries, reaching into the
surrounding business communities. With the influx of
families possessing substantial disposable income,
these venues generate significant economic activity
at both local and regional levels. BASE Sports Group
(BASE) emerged to empower community sports
venues in harnessing, assessing, and maximizing the
strategic value derived from their relationships with
neighboring business communities.
Through a tech-enabled, data-backed strategy, BASE
has secured partnerships with brands like: Papa
John's, PRIME Hydration, US Army, DUDE Wipes,
College Ave Student Loans, Floyd's Barbershop,
Hard Rock Café, and many more. BASE is led by a
team with more than 30 years in the youth sports
and sponsorship industries. This team is passionate
about driving equitable value for facilities and brands
alike. BASE has helped facilities secure strategic
partnerships by better understanding their value to
the business community.
To understand the impact of the local sports venue
on the community – let's consider the consumer
journey. Suzie heads to soccer practice at the local
venue after school. Mom drives her there, stopping for
gas and grabbing water, a sports drink, and a snack
for Suzie. Mom spends 1.5 hours at the venue, using
the Wi-Fi for online shopping. After practice, they grab
dinner at the pizza shop and swing by the grocery
store for milk.
Keep in mind, mom makes most household decisions.
During Suzie's practice is her only downtime, where
signage and engagement could influence her decisions.
