5) Click on "Delivery Confirmation" in the Accessorials
Services.
6) Click "Adult Signature Required".
You can see the rate has changed and now includes an
$8.15 charge for the Adult Signature Required accessorial.
7) You can view this by clicking the "Details" button, the
"Packages" tab, and then the "Accessorials" tab.
Many accessorials can be automatically defaulted to on or
off, utilizing options in various ways. Some can be set on
the Latitude carrier record, sometimes based on values
imported from the ERP system and also via a custom LMS
service.
8) You can see a breakdown of the rate by clicking on the
"Details" button in the upper right.
This will bring up the "Shipping Charges Details" screen.
This screen shows a breakdown of the total charges for the
shipment. If applicable, it will break out things such as
discounts, handling, dimensional weight, etc.
The "Commitment" tab will show when the estimated
delivery date is, if the carrier you are shipping with offers
that. For this session, we have disabled that so it will be
blank.
The "Packages" tab will show a breakdown of charges on a
package basis instead of the shipment level. It shows much
the same information as the "Total Charges" tab, at the
package level. If you had multiple packages, you could
view each individually.
Let's "Record" the package. The recording process finalizes
the package and generates the shipping label and any other
applicable documents.
9) Click the "Record" button in the lower right corner.
Let's look at the label that was generated by clicking the
"View" menu and then "View Shipments".
