Page | 5 (Updated August 8, 2024) Hands-On Learning | Shipshape Distribution with Latitude Manifest & Shipping System Here you can see that the tracking number along with the freight charges were recorded in Latitude. The Freight value for Box 0 is the sum of all the boxes and is what is sent to the ERP system to bill the customer. A nice feature of integrated shipping is that Latitude knows what items and quantities were in the loads that you shipped. This allows you to drill into a specific Packing Slip record to see what items shipped out on a tracking number. 3) Click the drill down icon to the left of the "Packing Slip" column . This is useful when a customer may call to say they didn't receive something or received the wrong quantity. You can ask them for the tracking number of the package and then see what items/quantities were shipped on that tracking number according to Latitude. You can also see what the weight of the package was by clicking the Tracking tab to see if the weight corresponds with the contents Latitude said was shipped. Consolidation (Integrated Shipping) When LMS is integrated with Latitude, as you saw above, you can scan the load number associated with an order. A nice feature is that LMS will display a list of all loads for the order, allowing you to combine loads for the package immediately. It will also list loads for other orders going to the same customer, allowing you to consolidate multiple orders into a single shipment right at the manifest station, reducing the number of boxes and shipping costs to the customer. 1) Let's walk through an example by launching the LMS Manifest Station and logging in. 2) Enter load "#00500A" to see that the screen has two sections. The top section is specific to the order that you entered. In the example above, you can see it highlighted the load you entered, as well as the one other load that belongs to this order. If you wanted to combine the contents of one or more of the other loads, simply enter it in the "Load" textbox. Any loads left you would just scan again after clicking "Record" to continue shipping the order. If you are performing packing prior to shipping the order at the LMS station and the loads are already packed into the boxes they will be shipping in you would not want to do that but if you were packing the multiple loads together at the station, you would want to scan those which you combine. The bottom section behaves the same way as the top section, however the loads listed there belong to other orders than the one you initially pulled up in the station. It lists the load numbers and order numbers and gives you the opportunity to find those loads and combine them by simply entering them in
