2025 SCORE PERSON OTY Rubén Fernández Aceves A native of Mexico City, he is a graduate of the School of Law of the Baja California Autonomous University with post graduate studies in prestigious institutions in Europe and Mexico. Fernandez has an impressive career of over 35 years in various posts in Municipal, State and Federal Governments including as Vice Mayor of Tijuana, Federal Congressman for Baja California and Under Secretary of the Interior of Mexico. He was the Executive Director of the National Association of Municipalities of Mexico and is a renowned expert and lecturer in Mexico as well as abroad in Municipal Law and Development of communities… In November of 2024 Fernandez was appointed Chief Adviser of the Mayor of Ensenada Claudia Agaton Muñiz. He immediately started working with government officials and SCORE staff in developing a new Protocol for the Organization of Off-Road Races in Ensenada, streamlining permits, eliminating red-tape and strengthening Security and Civil Protection operatives. As one of the many results of this and after a seven year absence, the 2025 SCORE Baja 1000, featured the “Ensenada Wash” as part of its route.
