A CLEAN SWEEP Tyler Lynn And The Slr Team Top The Pro Moto Season By Mike Vieira Photos by Get Some Photo Tyler Lynn and the Slam Life Racing Team rode their No. 7x Honda CRF450X to victory in every single SCORE race in 2025 to bring home the Pro Moto Unlimited Championship. They had high hopes at the start of the season that they would be on a championship run, and they followed through in the most convincing way possible. At the King Shocks SCORE San Felipe 250, Lynn started third in class, and, after battling the dust for a while, took the lead about 70 miles into the race. He rode to Mile 110, and from there, it was smooth sailing for teammates Carter Klein and Ryan Surrat, as they held onto first place to finish with an 11-minute lead. Fired up after their win in the 250, the team immediately went to work on preparing for the BF Goodrich SCORE Baja 500. Unfortunately, Ryan sustained an injury before the race, leaving Lynn and Klein to handle all the riding in the 500. Lynn started the race first and didn’t have dust to contend with, but he did have to deal with fog in the early part of the race. However, he opened up about a ten-minute lead by the time he handed the bike off to Klein at Mile 210. After a clean ride to Mile 385, Lynn took over once again to ride to the finish, maintaining the same ten-minute lead. As the SCORE Baja 400 approached, Lynn says, “Even though we had won the previous two races, I felt like there was a little bit more pressure, because if we won the 400, it would make it easier for us to race the SCORE Baja 1000 with a little less stress, without having to win it. I feel like I put a little more pressure on myself to win the Baja 400, but pressure is good.” It worked, as Lynn and Klein put in another fast, trouble-free ride to win by nearly twenty minutes. Lynn credits his co-rider with putting in an exceptional performance to clinch the win. The BF Goodrich 58th SCORE Baja 1000 found the team putting in another field-topping performance, with Lynn riding the first 400 miles of the race, and handing over the bike to co-rider David Kamo, who they asked to be on the team for this race. With a fifteen-minute lead, Kamo had a minor spill in a rough part of the course, losing a bit of time, and causing a small amount of damage. Nevertheless, the 7x team stayed in the lead. With the bike fixed, Klein then took over at Mile 630 to ride the Honda to the finish with more than a ninety-minute lead. Sweeping the series isn’t easy, but in addition to his talented co-riders, Lynn gives many thanks for all of the hard work from the team’s pit crew and manager J.R. Stanley, as well as team owner Mark Samuels. He also credits Bob Youngs at San Diego Powerhouse, saying, “He built us a rocket ship of a bike that never had any issues. It started and finished every race without a single issue all year. We obviously couldn’t do it without him.” He also thanks Honda and Monster Energy for their support throughout the year, and is very grateful to his wife, parents, and family and friends who have contributed to the team’s achievements. The team is looking forward to defending its title in the 2026 SCORE season. Sam Pretscherer, a rider from Australia, who has been competing and winning in the U.S. for the last two years, will join Lynn and Klein for the upcoming season as they hope to repeat this year’s success in Pro Moto Unlimited.
