Wide Receiver
1. Shane Mikesky 87
6-4, 211, So.
2 rec., 5 yards*
Mikesky is listed at the top of
the depth chart by Purdue,
but he or Macarthy or even
DeAngelo Yancey could
get the start vs. Cincinnati,
depending on formation.
Macarthy missed Wednesday's practice this
week while dealing with a family matter at his
home in Merrillville.
2. Dolapo Macarthy 16
6-5, 243, Sr.
25 rec., 158 yards, 2 TDs*
Look for Holmes and Sinz to
catch a lot of balls this season,
as the duo has had the eye of
Rob Henry throughout the last
month. That could be a good
thing for Purdue, as both have ability but a lot
to prove, too.
6-4, 248, Jr.
6-5, 315, Sr. (5)
Pamphile has enjoyed a good
string of practices in prep for
the 2013 season. That's good,
because Purdue has few
options behind him right now.
Rouse only converted from DT
a couple weeks ago, and Jack De Boef hasn't
solidified himself in the two deep.
6-6, 341, Sr.
Smith's returning from a right
MCL injury that has left him
trying to come back while
preparing to face Cincinnati.
He'll probably play, but it
seems unlikely he'll be wellconditioned enough to go the
whole way. King will also get snaps.

6-4, 305, So.
6-5, 220, So.
Center
1. Robert Kugler 57
6-3, 284, So.
Kugler might be Purdue's most
important offensive player. He's
the best lineman, that's for certain, and so reliable that there's
little fear of something going
wrong. Davis is a veteran who could back up
at any one of interior positions.
2. Cody Davis 59
6-1, 205, Sr. (5)
21-38 for 216 yards, 3 TDs,
1 int.*
Henry is Purdue's unquestioned starter. In the years
since he last took a starting
snap, he's become a better passer, is more
comfortable in the pocket and can hit receivers downfield. But he'll look to run on occasion, as well, giving defenses a second threat.
2. Austin Appleby 12 6-4, 229, R-Fr.

Danny Etling 5 6-2, 218, Fr.
6-7, 300, Sr. (5)
Darrell Hazell called Foy one of
Purdue's most-improved players during training camp, after
the senior moved from left
tackle back to the right side,
where he had spent a majority
of his career. But never at guard. Roos is likely
to get a series or two or more at Cincy.
6-5, 320, R-Fr.
1. Kurt Freytag 46
6-1, 240, Sr. (5)
8 carries, 47 yards, 1 TD*
3 rec., 32 yards*
You'll see Freytag on Saturday,
as Purdue wants a power
running game. He's not only
Purdue's best lead blocker, but he's also the
best pass blocker. Yancey will primarily play on
special teams.
2. David Yancey 28
5-10, 206, Fr.
6-4, 290, Sr. (5)
Kitchens has been up-anddown during camp, looking
fine one moment but giving
up a rush the next. Purdue
needs more of the upswing,
because there's little depth or
experience after. Prince has been nicked up
much of the last three weeks.
6-6, 288, R-Fr.
6-0, 179, Sr. (5)
5-9, 184, Jr.
42 carries, 335 yards, 2 TDs
13 rec., 204 yards, 2 TDs*
Hunt will get the bulk of the
action, it seems, but Purdue
built quality depth during
the last month. Cottom is a big back, but he's
got quicks, too, and can be a threat. Dalyn
Dawkins is young but explosive. Any are
capable of big plays.
2. Brandon Cottom 25
6-4, 258, Jr.
5-10, 183, R-Fr.

Knauf will be looked upon
often by the Boilermakers, as
he could be a dynamic playmaker in an offense in need of
those on the perimeter. He has game-breaking
speed. Bush is adjusting to a new role this season, so we'll see how well he adapts.
