FESTIVAL Issue 54 / 2013 www.guestlist.net Bestival @ isle of wight 5th - 8th september for the perfect way to spend the last lingering days of summer get yourself to bestival! From the 5th – 8th September, Robin Hill Park on the Isle of Wight will be home to incredible live music, DJs and all sorts of weird and wonderful events. Fatboy Slim, Snoop Dogg and Elton John are all headlining the festival this year. As well as these guys, there are some amazing acts like M.I.A, The Flaming Lips, Wu-Tang Clan and Rudimental, amongst many many more. Whether you're into dance music, cabaret, pop or drum 'n' bass Bestival will have you spoilt for choice. As well as music Bestival has loads of other attractions, such as the Ambient Forest, for spoken word performances and ambient DJs. If you feel like exploring a surreal and Reading and leeds 23rd - 25th August It's that time again. The sun is sneaking from under the clouds, the music is getting louder, the parties are getting bigger and the nights are getting longer. It could only be one thing. It's time for Reading and Leeds. Reading and Leeds is one of the biggest and best festivals out there and it has a little something for everyone. For all the hard-core rockers, the dub heads and the dred heads this is the festival to hit up this bank holiday. The competition is looking pretty tough this year for the fight for August bank holiday. But Reading and Leeds is a top contenda for its huge line up. With the likes of Green Day, Chase and Status, Fall Out Boy, Skrillex, Knife Party, Sub Focus, Disclosure and 100's more. Reading and Leeds are also known for their wild all night parties. So if the line up isn't convincing enough then be sure to look up their rave in the woods and crazy DJ parties. This is a bank holiday partie never to be forgotten and definitely not to be missed. 15 7 absurdist world then just head over to Club DADA for a line-up of 'pranksters, champs DJs, live acts, dance troupes, vintage beauties and swingsters' - all this as well as other alternative entertainment, dance lessons and lots and lots of drag. The festival is celebrating its tenth birthday this year. Bestival is an instatution it's loyal and hardcore fans talk about nothing else all year round. They say Bestival is what festivals where made for. Perhaps it's becuase your trapped on the Isle of Wight for a couple of days.
