CLCF, Central Falls and South Attleboro are all tied for first place at 3-0, followed by the East Providence Townies and Providence Packers, 2-0; Johnston, Upper Cape Spartans and Cumberland, 1-1; New Bedford, Providence North End and Fairlawn, 1-2; Darlington, 0-2; and Woonsocket and Fall River, 0-3. In Junior Mite Division action, CLCF mauled New Bedford, 27-0; Darlington swamped Cumberland, 28-7; Fairlawn slammed South Attleboro Black, 32-0; North Smithfield downed Johnston, 7-0; Central Falls blanked Lincoln, 18-0; Providence North End crushed West Warwick, 34-0; Woonsocket blanked Seekonk, 12-0, and South Attleboro white crushed Fall River, 33-0. Registration open for annual Cyclo-cross festival PROVIDENCE – Registration is open for the fifth annual Providence Cyclo-cross Festival. This year's event will take place Oct. 4-6 at Roger Williams Park. The event will include a UCI Category 1 race, clinics, expo, the New England Bike Walk Summit, the Builders' Ball, the Providence Swap, the MetLife Kidzone, and Gran Fondo New England. The event is part of both the Shimano New England Professional Cyclo-cross Series and the Verge New England Championship Series the Providence Cyclo-cross Festival is again part of the Shimano New England Professional Cyclocross Series and the Verge IN BRIEF Fall basketball camp for middle schoolers set CUMBERLAND – The Recreation Department is sponsoring a fall basketball camp for middle school students. The program will be in session on Tuesdays 6-7:30 p.m. from Sept. 17 to Nov. 12 at the Cumberland High School Wellness Center.
