Over the past few months, the club has been host to some of the biggest names in electronic music 21st September The really bass line-heavy producer has had a busy summer, playing all over Europe at renowned festivals and clubs such as Hideout, Garden Festival, Parklife and Hypercolour at Sankeys, Ibiza. With such a high calibre of events under his belt, Huxley is surely not to be missed. The Brightonborn house aficionado has seen his profile dramatically increase over the past year, having had releases on Maceo Plex's label Ellum Audio, Hypercolour and Moda Black, as well as other labels. Since showcasing such increasingly appealing lineups, it's really no wonder XOYO is becoming one of the most prominent clubs in the London house scene. Issue 55 / 2013 ARTIST OF THE MONTH: CYRIL The Vancouver based DJ firstly became largely recognised after the release of his remix of Destiny's Child's 'Say My Name' - and now he's back with his first ever solo project. He has already had an amazing year, performing at the Parklife weekender in Manchester and at London's Found festival, and he's due to DJ at Space Ibiza in September and the Isle of Wight Bestival. Cyril has recently been signed to Disclosure's record label PMR, which has given him the popularity boost he deserves. He has a growing fan base, even including artists such as The xx, Annie Mac and Jessie Ware, who are all huge lovers of the unique taste that he brings to the underground house scene. Cyril Hahn had created a mini mix for Annie Mac's Friday night BBC Radio 1 show, playing songs which have influenced his own productions. Artists include garage icon Burial, whose music is easily portrayed through Cyril's. We're used to Cyril Hahn's remixes, but he's recently uploaded a song to SoundCloud which is entirely his own creation. The track is to be released with PMR on the 9th September, just days after his appearance at Bestival. This definitely won't be the last we hear of Cyril Hahn, as we can expect plenty more classic R&B tunes remixed by the mastermind DJ and hopefully some more of his own material.
