He has 20 years of experience in information technology and consulting and holds a Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master of Science in Management of Technology, both from the Georgia Institute of Technology. _______________________________________________________ Charlene Wacenske – Firm Wide Records Manager at Morrison & Foerster LLP Charlene has been with Morrison & Foerster LLP since 2000. She currently manages both Firm Wide Records and the IT Administrative Systems teams. During her tenure at MoFo, she has implemented a records system that currently contains 9 million e-mail and other electronic documents. She has been past president of both the Golden Gate and Silicon Valley Chapters of ARMA and is currently the VP for the Records Peer Group of ILTA. _______________________________________________________ Honora Wade – Senior Business Analyst at Perkins Coie Honora has worked in the legal vertical for three decades with focuses on application evaluation and implementation, and user training and support. She speaks frequently for ILTA, ALA and other organizations. She's been with Perkins Coie for nine years (currently as a business analyst) and has served as Vice President of ILTA's User Support group for five years. She also serves on the boards of organizations supporting women in technology, hunger mitigation in Seattle, and the arts. _______________________________________________________ Alston Walker – National Manager, Litigation Support at Fish & Richardson, P.C. Alston provides in-house consulting services to F&R's attorneys and paralegals. He is responsible for communicating with firm leadership regarding the direction of litigation technology, promoting the use of litigation technology and managing the Litigation Technology and Support Services Department. He is a member of the Executive board of ECALSM and The Sedona Conference Working Group on Electronic Document Retention and Production. _______________________________________________________ Kermit Wallace – Director of Information Technology at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP Kermit has more than 20 years of experience in IT operations and project management in law firms, brokerage and financial services firms, commercial software companies and city government. He has a track record of improving efficiencies in the key areas of technology delivery by challenging and inspiring those who work with and for him. James Watkins – Director of Operators, Trial Technologies at Kroll Ontrack James specializes in developing and coordinating trial presentations and logistics support for complex litigation cases. _______________________________________________________ Christian Weiss – Systems Support Engineer at Farella Braun + Martel LLP Christian has worked for Farella Braun + Martel for five years. He is known in his eight-person IT Department as the "go-to" man for solutions to complex problems. Christian enjoys working in the IT legal industry because of the pervasive intelligence and creativity of his fellows. _______________________________________________________ Peter Westerveld – Director of Technology & Know How at Minter Ellison Lawyers Peter heads up the Technology, Know How and Project Services Technology teams at Australasian law firm Minter Ellison. Minter Ellison's work on the development of technology platforms was acknowledged when the firm won the Innovative Use of Technology Award at the 2009 ALB Australasian Law Awards. _______________________________________________________ Keith Wewe – Director of Client Service and Growth at Content Pilot Keith is the chief relationship agent at Content Pilot, a nationwide strategy and technology company focused on the unique issues of law firm marketing departments. He works side-by-side with internal firm resources to successfully implement their Web site, branding and identity solutions and proposal center. Keith brings the added expertise of continuing relationships with clients by developing strategic initiatives to best leverage their investments in line with their marketing and business development activities. _______________________________________________________ Meredith Williams – Director of Knowledge Management at Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell & Berkowitz Meredith is based in the Memphis office of Baker Donelson Bearman, Caldwell and Berkowtiz, and serves as a staff attorney in knowledge management and technology-related issues. Meredith is an accomplished presenter for national and local functions in addition to contributing to many articles and white papers. She is a member of the Association of Women Attorneys and the American, Tennessee and Memphis Bar Associations. _______________________________________________________ Bill Wilshire – LexisNexis Interaction Bill's extensive career at LexisNexis includes development and launch of LexisNexis Total Practice Advantage, integrated tools for law firm management. He managed the Front Office suite of products globally and was a market planner for small law, state/local government markets in Florida. Prior, Bill had various marketing, planning and operations roles with TXU and consulted with Bain & Company. _______________________________________________________ Craig Wilson – Director Information Technology at Winthrop & Weinstine, P.A. Craig joined Winthrop & Weinstine in 1997. Craig is the Director of Information Technology with extensive experience in managing effective, flexible and user-friendly technology systems. At Winthrop & Weinstine, Craig focuses on managing all aspects of technology initiatives at the firm, including providing proactive and efficient applications to better serve staff, attorneys and clients in their technology needs. He is also responsible for ensuring the strength, security and stability of the technology systems. _______________________________________________________ Dana LaRieal Wilson – Project Manager at Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis Dana has more than 11 years of experience in the legal industry. She primarily manages technology implementation and process change projects, but has also managed facility and business development projects. Her strength is in mobilizing teams to work together over an extended timeframe. _______________________________________________________ Carl Winchester – Operations Supervisor at Mayer Brown LLP Carl is a long-time participant in the Chicago legal community. His daily responsibilities include any host of concerns ranging from storage-related matters to messaging infrastructure and other server based technologies. The addition of an operational role assisting the litigation technologies has helped expand the ability of his operational areas to inform and influence the role of litigation support for Mayer Brown. _______________________________________________________ Scott Wirtz – Controller at Loeb & Loeb LLP Scott brings over 20 years of finance experience in the legal industry. He has written articles which appeared in Law Technology News and Metropolitan Corporate Counsel and has been a speaker at previous ILTA conferences. Scott sits on the board of the LEDES Organizing Committee. _______________________________________________________ Paul Wittekind – Director of InformationTechnology Services at Porzio, Bromberg & Newman, P.C. Paul has coordinated the strategic and tactical aspects of Porzio's technology platform since 1993. He is responsible not only for internal technology initiatives but also for coordinating the firm's efforts to strengthen its client relationships through improved technological integration. _______________________________________________________ Susan Wortzman – Founder of Wortzman Nickel, PC Susan is the founder of Wortzman Nickle Professional Corporation. Her practice focuses on providing e-discovery advice and litigation management support to law firms and corporations. Susan was formerly a partner in one of Canada's leading litigation firms. She has delivered lectures and written seminal papers concerning e-discovery and its impact on litigation. Susan has chaired and participated in professional committees that have developed provincial and national guidelines for e-discovery. She is a member of the Advocates' Society and the E-Discovery Task Force SubCommittee in Ontario. She is the Chair of the Sedona Canada Working Group which has developed national guidelines for e-discovery in Canada. _______________________________________________________ Brian Zeve – Microsoft Corporation Brian is managing director for the professional services industry division at Microsoft.
