We take that very seriously and really dig into the specifics of what features on the boat attracted the family to that particular model. We balance the fun parts of being a boat owner with the technical information that our readers crave. Tackle Box: Sometimes the price of an engine is half the cost of the total boat package, which is one of the reasons this section is so critical. These regular items are mixed in with new stories that include tidbits of information about new products, interesting facts and boating ideas and tips. 2 PDB 2014 Media Kit As we said before, our magazine is about lifestyle so we use PDB Adventures to capture our niche boats being used by everyday people in unique situations. This isn't necessarily about someone with a new boat, but about someone that has found a different way to enjoy their boat. This section allows us to highlight a broad range of uses for boats in a wide geographic area so we appeal to a mass audience across the US. Our spotlight features new products from the manufactures. These are the kind of stories that let readers know why they should want to buy a particular model. Time and time again, our readers have proven that they want to hear from us on what qualities make a boat worth buying. We do this by providing key specs to help the potential buyer with their decision. Roundups: PDB Tested: Anyone can take a press release and photo and run it in a magazine. We take it one step further. We physically test each product in house and then rate it. It takes some work, but we know our readers find it very valuable to know how the product performed on a pontoon or a deck boat.
