Infrared dryer Energy-saving dryer Flash unit Gas or electric dryer The Lawson Omega IR Dryer allows the user to digitally adjust the temperature as high as 495°F and vary the height of the panels. The heat chamber combines high-intensity, "color-blind" infrared panels with a reflective and fully insulated heat chamber that is reportedly designed to maximize energy efficiency and keep utility bills low. The design accelerates ink curing by combining variable-wavelength infrared, hot-air and reflective radiation. The Adelco Eco-Tex, distributed by Hirsch, is a conveyor gas dryer that reportedly saves energy and reduces its carbon footprint. Economical features include a modular design, which allows the printer to choose the dryer length with the option of expanding at a later date, and an optional gas flow indicator that allows owners to track usage and running costs. It also has triple insulation with an air curtain, which keeps the exterior cool and avoids loss of heat. An integral exhaust is connected on top of the dryer with an adjustable exhaust outlet valve. The lint filter is removable from either side, and no replacement filter is required. BBC Industries Inc. presents the Black Flash. It reportedly offers consistent heat radiation over the entire element surface to ensure every print is properly flashed or cured. It comes in a wide range of sizes, wattages and voltages. A.W.T. World Trade Inc. offers the Super Turbo dryer in gas or electric models with an optional preheat function. The energy-efficient Super Turbo comes with standard features such as forced air and recirculated heated air to cure plastisol inks at the highest heat level possible without scorching. A portion of the air is expelled from the curing chamber to speed the curing process. Electronic circuitry provides accurate temperature control and includes digital belt speed and temperature readout. All controls are mounted on an angled control panel. Extended conveyor sections are available. Panel height is adjustable. The preheat option can be switched off during breaks in production. 800-325-8317 800-394-4426 800-654-4205 773-777-7100 2013 November Printwear PW_NOV13.indd 55 pw | 55 10/16/13 10:26 AM
