Justin Sinz 84 6-2, 200, Fr. 15 rec., 327 yards, 1 TD* Ohio State shut down Yancey and shut down Purdue's entire offense. The young wide receiver couldn't get open, getting physically handled at the line of scrimmage to throw off timing. It'll need to serve as a good learning moment. 6-4, 248, Jr. 23 rec., 169 yards, 2 TDs* Sinz was one of five receivers to have two catches vs. Ohio State, as the group shared team-high honors. In other words, nobody stood out. But Sinz has been reliable in a much bigger role than what he — or Purdue — expected this season. 2. Shane Mikesky 87 6-7, 255, Sr. (5) — OR — 6-4, 211, So. Center 1. Robert Kugler 57 6-3, 284, So. Kugler's been steady as Purdue's center, showing signs that he could be very good in years to come. He's entrenched there for the next couple of seasons, giving the Boilermakers at least a foundation from which to work to improve their O-line. 2. Cody Davis 59 2. Patrick Bade 89 Sterling Carter 81 6-2, 247, Sr. (5) Right Guard 1. Jordan Roos 70 6-5, 320, R-Fr. Roos is being forced to learn on the fly, now having started three consecutive games. Foy and J.J. Prince came in for a snap against the Buckeyes, giving Purdue seven offensive linemen. But Etling was sacked when he couldn't get the ball to the lone receiver, DeAngelo Yancey. 6-5, 289, Sr. (5) 2. Trevor Foy 78 Quarterback 1. Danny Etling 5 Fullback 6-2, 218, Fr. 60-of-128 for 674 yards, 3 TDs, 5 int.* Etling is suffering some growing pains right now — and likely physical pains too, considering how often he's getting hit — but needs to show some improvement in the last four games of the season. Barring injury, he's likely to get all the snaps the rest of the way. 2. Austin Appleby 12 6-4, 229, R-Fr. Left Tackle 1. Kevin Pamphile 64 Left Guard 1. Jason King 72 2. Cameron Cermin 2. Devin Smith 71 Right Tackle 1. Justin Kitchens 51 Wide Receiver 1. B.J. Knauf 83 6-5, 315, Sr. (5) Purdue's offensive line has struggled all season long, but not much of the pressure its quarterbacks are facing is coming from the edge. Still, Pamphile's eligibility will expire four games from now and Purdue will have to move on. Is Pamphile's replacement currently on the roster? 6-5, 300, R-Fr. 6-6, 341, Sr. 6-4, 290, Sr. (5) Like Kevin Pamphile on the left side, Kitchens is seemingly playing OK on the right edge. Darrell Hazell has said that he likes the way Purdue's tackles are playing. But the question remains: Who plays next season? 2. J.J. Prince 73 6-6, 288, R-Fr. 6-2, 256, Jr. 22 rush, 74 yards* 4 rec., 24 yards* Cottom's been a bigger part of the offense the last two games, but doesn't have a ton to show for it statistically. Against Ohio State, he had only 16 yards on seven carries. He also had a couple catches but for only four yards. 2. Kurt Freytag 46 6-1, 240, Sr. (5) 5-10, 183, R-Fr. 10 rec., 111 yards, 1 TD* 11 rushes, 92 yards, 1 TD* Knauf was back in the lineup after his two-game suspension and caught Purdue's longest passing play of the day vs. OSU: a 16-yarder. Look for him to be a bigger part of the offense against Iowa. Dan Monteroso, who had started two straight games, didn't see the field against OSU and isn't in the two deep now. 2. Gary Bush 6 6-7, 300, Sr. (5) 1. Brandon Cottom 25 6-3, 300, R-Fr. King got his first career start against Ohio State, as Smith was out with mono. The performance was only OK, as King struggled to consistently hold up at the point. Smith could be back — he's questionable for Iowa — depending on how quickly he regains strength. 6-0 179, Sr. Running Back 1. Akeem Hunt 1 5-9, 184, Jr. 86 rushes, 316 yards* 26 rec., 250 yards, 2 TDs* Purdue doesn't have a rush of more than 20 yards, nor a touchdown, from its running backs this season. That's hard to fathom, but it just goes to show how ineffective the Boilermakers have been in rushing the ball this year. 2. Dalyn Dawkins 20 5-9, 175, Fr.
