INTRODUCTION For several years now we have put on photography shows at the gallery in December, notably featuring the work of Tim Flach. This exhibition takes us into new territory as we show three photographers, each with their own unique and personal viewpoint, each new to the gallery.  Nick Danziger is the best known and for this project we have chosen his outstanding recent photographs of the Maha Kumbh Mela in India, one of the greatest gatherings of people in one place anywhere in the world. Nick's work has been widely exhibited to great acclaim, and published projects include Onze femmes face à la guerre, Missing Lives, Mana, Danziger's Britain and The British. Justin Partyka is completely absorbed by the landscape and farming community in his remote part of Norfolk, which he has beautifully observed and recorded over many years, and David Constantine has travelled the world, making exceptional and intimate portraits of the people he has met on his travels.   The gallery is taking an increasing interest in photography and there will be more shows to come. Next year we will be exhibiting photographs from the archive of David Farrell and we are already working on a major show of great images of the 20th century. We take the medium very seriously, so do note that the works in this exhibition are in very small limited editions, with two or three different sizes. Each is printed to a very high standard under the supervision of the photographer and is numbered and signed.  We may live to regret it but we are determined to limit the number of available copies of these works, so when they are gone, they are gone!   My thanks to Jessica Mander who has curated this exhibition, her first big project at the gallery, and of course to the three artists for agreeing to collaborate on this show and providing us with such wonderful images to choose from. I do hope you will be able to visit the gallery during the exhibition. Peter Osborne 2
