have to be 4s and 4s have to be 3s if we're going to contend to be a top-five, top-10 team." Following is a look at the class on a player-by-player basis: Bodnar, who ESPN Hoop Gurlz has 90th overall and Collegiate Girls Report ranks No. 149, averaged 13.6 points and six rebounds as a junior. "(She's) a real strong, agile, thick body that really can bang and rebound and is a shot blocker and can score down low and face the basket," Versyp said. Hall averaged 17 points, three rebounds and three steals as a junior, with ESPN Hoop Gurlz ranking her No. 74 overall and Collegiate Girls Report 75th. "We were really looking for a player like Justine Hall. … Justine has a very athletic family: mom played at Washington; dad played NFL football," Versyp said. "They just really know their stuff. They researched us and we researched them, and they were able to come out and just fell in love with Purdue. She's a dynamic player, extremely tenacious, great defender, which I love, a very quick step. We connected right off the bat." Horrocks plays on a loaded high school team, dampening her season averages as a junior. She averaged about eight points Greenfield Daily Reporter Sharon Versyp believes signee Erica Moore's physicality in the post can make her an impact player for Purdue. and seven boards per game, but Blue Star Basketball considers the center the 35th-best player in the class; Collegiate Girls Report has her at 131. "Her upside is unbelievable," Versyp said. "She rated as our top player in one of the rankings and she's a work horse. … Her work ethic is amazing and she plays for a great high school team. But what I like about Bree is that she can run the floor exceptionally well, has great hands, can finish with her right or left hand, can extend the floor and hit the three, at 6-5. She's got a beautiful touch." Keys' junior season was cut short by an ACL injury. But in the six games before, she was a proven scorer, averaging 26 points and 10 rebounds per game. "She is under the radar,"Versyp said of Keys, who is healthy and playing volleyball now. "… When you get hurt your junior year of high school, it's very difficult. You lose opportunities. We had been talking to her for a while, she actually came back from a knee injury sooner and rehabbed and became a tougher human being. We were really impressed when she was released earlier this summer and I saw her and you never would have known that she had a knee injury whatsoever. She dominated when we watched her play." "… The 3 spot is an area that we need assistance at, and I just think her outside game, her power game, her rebounding and aggressiveness on defense are a big key, and I think people are going to be amazed at her abilities." Moore is the lone instate recruit for Versyp and Co. She averaged 17.8 points and 8.3 rebounds last season, despite a knee injury that limited her at times. She's ranked No. 78 overall by All-Star Girls Report. "She has that power game, very physical," Versyp said. "She's very intense down low, she can really bang. We love that, you really need it in our game. She can hit the offensive boards, did so at the State Championships. She had as many rebounds as points. We need that. We need somebody to be able to clear out on the board out." NOTEBOOK R Drue Tranquill, the Purdue football commitment who's also considering Notre Dame, will reach a decision soon, he's said. The Fort Wayne Carroll star was just offered by Penn State, but is deciding between the Boilermakers and Fighting Irish. Purdue recently offered a scholarship to Tranquill's younger brother, Justin, a Class of 2015 recruit. R Offensive line recruit Denzel Ward tweeted that he'll also officially visit South Florida and Oklahoma. Ward has increasingly indicated he's likely to stick with his long-standing Boilermaker commitment, but has said for months that he'd like to take at least three official visits. He officially visited Purdue for the Iowa game. COMMITMENT RESULTS R Quarterback David Blough completed 14-of-26 passes for 338 yards, an interception and 83and 64-yard fourth-quarter touchdown passes that rallied Carrollton Creekview to a 33-29 win over North Forney.
