A LITTLE LOVE FOR ME My love, I'm scared is shrinking, my need is not so great, Dear God above I beg you, don't turn my love to hate. I ache from all the wanting, the need so deep within, The unrequited dreams of love burned because they're sin. The object of my love has a need for something else, He cannot understand himself, so he keeps me on the shelf. He hopes I will keep waiting, for him to find his way, How many days I'll do it, is impossible to say. He's trying to decide, if he can live again, A life he'd really like to have, a life that's free of pain. The trouble is he can't quite see the reason for it all. And so dear God I beg you please, just give him a call. A call to understanding, of life as it should be, A call to know the love he wants, he can get from me. He's trying to decide for him, if he should just go back, Back to where he used to be, where life at times is black. But people they won't leave him, to make the choice alone, They taunt him with their threats most days, upon the telephone. So dear God, please help him, so he can see the light, A light to save him ever more, that gives him back his sight. Dear God while I am asking, for you to set him free, May I also ask you God, for a little love for me? © Kathy Ralph Page | 3
