Alongside Peter Jackson are recurring writers Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens, as well as intended director and King of darkness Guillermo del Toro. The magnificently picked cast return as a team of Dwarves to take back their gold in style. No surprises in the score, either, as Howard Shore is an old hand now at providing scintillating accompaniment for Hobbits on their various journeys.
