GTR Intercooler Silicone Couplers Burns Stainless, Costa Mesa, Calif., introduces its new Silicone Couplers. Along with hump couplers, straight hose and reducers, the company now carries 90-degree hose as well. Made in the USA, the silicone hose is reinforced with four plies of quality polyester fabric, five layers of silicone and coated with a silicone elastomer, making it strong and flexible. The components are specifically designed for extreme use in intercooler and intake plumbing, water lines and other applications, and is resistant to chemicals, ozone, coolant, and other hazardous materials. Race Blow-Off Valve Vortech, Oxnard, Calif., part of the Air Power Group, presents its all-billet Maxflow Race Blow-Off Valve. The blow-off valve features a large "rolling diaphragm" configuration with dual vent porting that allows for quick valve response and is adaptable to all types of boosted engine installations. It can be mounted in any position and includes an adjustable spring preload, mechanically retained valve seal and an anodized finish. It is a direct replacement on VTA (vent-toatmosphere) applications. Titan Motorsports, Orlando, presents its Nissan R35 GTR Street Intercooler. The OE replacement intercooler upgrade starts with a 22-by-10-by-4.50-inch core surrounded by CAD-designed end tanks that are lasercut for consistency. The kit features 2.75-inch-diameter inlets and outlets, bead-rolled to prevent the charge pipes from blowing off at higher boost levels. The intercooler is designed so that the factory Nissan intercooler pipes or any other factory replacement piping system can be utilized. All necessary hardware is included. Titanium Valves Manley Performance, Lakewood, N.J., presents its One-Piece Forged Titanium Valves, now available in an expanded range of custom options including hollowstem intakes, a special "thin film" seat face coating and "fluted dish" lightening. The hollow-stem titanium intake valves provide a 10- to 12-percent reduction in weight. Meanwhile, dramatic improvements in valve seat face wear are achieved with the application of a "thin film" seat face coating, and additional lightening of the valve is available through machining the combustion face with a fluted dish. Ford Cam Followers Engine Dress-Up Kits Trans-Dapt Performance Products, Whittier, Calif., part of the Hedman Performance Group, presents its PerfectMatch Engine Kits for small-block Chevy, big-block Chevy and small-block Ford applications. The powder-coated engine kits come with everything needed to completely overhaul an engine including oil pan, water neck, timing chain cover, valve covers, valve caps and breathers as well as all required gaskets and bolts. Chevrolet kits are available for engines with and without PCV and come in Chevy Orange and Asphalt Black finishes. The Ford engine kits are finished in Ford Blue. Race Engineering, Lake Worth, Fla., offers its UltraFollower for 2300 SOHC motors. A proprietary combination of several super-slick aerospace coatings prevents galling common to stock-type followers. The dramatic reduction in power robbing results in a freer-turning valve train, which equates to added horsepower. The followers work with solid and hydraulic cams. 18 n Performance & Hotrod Business PHBFEB.indd 18 n February 2014 1/3/14 11:56 AM
