13 I'm laying out my tape guides for the pinstriping that I'll be doing. 14 I begin striping a blue-green line down the sides using a 00 Xcaliber striping brush. I work with the paint and the reducer in a plastic cup. I pallet my brush on a high-quality magazine or inexpensive tracing paper. 15 A close-up of the trunk design. I first sketched out the design using a blue Stabilo water-base pencil. The finished project. 16 I add the second color—white with a little of the same blue-green used for the main design. Julian "Mr. J" Braet owns Mr. J's Sign Service in Paterson, N.J., and is the creator of Xcaliber striping brushes and preservative. Visit Mr. J's website at www.xcaliberart.com for more information about his pinstriping techniques and to see more projects. Send comments to jxcal@aol.com.
