'A Beautiful Day' The vehicle was unveiled on Sept. 17, 2013, at Paul's Restos' annual car show, an event that featured more than 300 cars and was attended by more than 1,000 people, including Calero's family and his platoon. The local fire department dropped a 50-foot flag from the event's location, and area veterans attended to form a flag line in his honor. "The unveiling was a beautiful day; it was a special day," DiMauro says. "We celebrated his life—what he was."
