ARTIST OF THE MONTH
BOMBAY BICYCLE CLUB
The 75 minute album has been given a
4 star rating from the Telegraph, with a
range of different genres from punk to
reggae rock.
The Reflektor music video is
extremely well put together,
with the use of the cartoon like
masks to create a surreal image,
coinciding well with the style of
music. If you haven't already, go
check it out.
TRACK OF THE MONTH
BROKEN BELLS
The Bombay boys are back with their fourth studio album this month, under the
title 'So Long, See You Tomorrow'.
Three years have gone by since 'A Different Kind of Fix' was released, and the band have discussed their efforts at recruiting a
new producer, trying out two big names (Bat for Lashes and Animal Collective) before settling on their own front man, Jack Steadman.
The recent changes have led to a big growth and development
in their music, one which the band seem pretty positive about. It
would appear that having the freedom to experiment without too
much talking has made them a happy bunch, and ready to take on
the music world with full force.

OUR PLAYLIST
Here's the Indie on our playlist this month:
AFTER THE DISCO
Broken Bells leaked a little clip
of their long awaited album,
After the Disco, in October this
year. The album is set for release
on Columbia Records on 14th
January, just in time to lift our
spirits after the excitement of
Christmas and New Year has
finished. The previewed 'Holding
on For Life' makes for a great
first single with its catchy Bee
Gees style chorus, showing that
not only are the band keeping
up with their own standards,
but blowing them out of the
ballpark in terms of individuality.
The track takes the best of what
made James Mercer and Danger
Mouse famous, and blends it
together in one entrancing
celestial piece.
