Old and New: Desi's design seamlessly blends the past with contemporary living.

his crew were throwing away, saying, "Dave's throwing it in
the dumpster; I'm pulling it out of the dumpster."
Peter and Desi's different tastes were also evident, with
each half of the couple opting for very different designs
for their units.
Peter designed his side with an eye toward modern restoration.
"I kind of integrated, old with the new. That was a big
theme of what I was doing on my side," he says. For instance,
the kitchen on his side combined the old brick with modern
lines in its new cabinets, stainless steel, and granite countertops for a "Tribeca city look."
