Cuts & Contours Global Turf Equipment Launches Redesigned Mobile Website Global Turf Equipment—the world's largest independent seller and exporter of pre-owned golf course equipment— announces it has launched a redesigned mobile website. Highlighted by increased functionality and improved navigation, its homepage organizes GTE's 650-piece inventory into 20 product categories. The new look and feel of www.globalturfequipment.com makes viewing a snap on tablets or smartphones. Industry News & Notes Jacobsen Adds to Growing Sales Team In its continuing efforts to build and develop industry relationships, Jacobsen recently added Josh Haggas to its sales team as national accounts manager. Haggas comes to Jacobsen from Textron-owned E-Z-GO, where he spent nearly a decade as a sales representative. Prior to his tenure at E-ZGO, Haggas served as a distribution sales representative for Club Car selling utility vehicles. Haggas has a bachelor's degree in marketing management from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and was drafted by the New York Mets in 1992. As national accounts manager, Haggas will be Josh Haggas responsible for serving multi-course owners and management companies across the United States and Canada. "As we continue to grow and expand, we are adding industry experts to our team like Josh Haggas," said Ric Stone, VP of sales for Jacobsen. "Josh's channel experience at E-Z-GO and Club Car will help us build new relationships and strengthen existing ones." IA Names 2013 Smart Marketing Contest Winners The Irrigation Association's Smart Irrigation Month Committee has chosen the winners of its fourth annual Smart Marketing Contest. IA designated July as Smart Irrigation Month in 2005 to promote efficient watering practices, technologically advanced irrigation products and water conservation. Award-winning companies demonstrate outstanding efforts to promote smart irrigation month through targeted marketing ideas and campaigns.
