Date Of Official Visit To Michigan: Dec. 13, 2013. QUOTABLE Brady Hoke's Comments: "Ian's a guy who has a lot of range. I like his upside as a tight end on the line of scrimmage and also his ability to get down the field and catch the football." Tom Lemming of Prep Football Report: "He's a tall, very athletic tight end prospect, who split out most of his time in high school. He kind of reminds me of Coby Fleener [former Stanford and now Indianapolis Colts tight end]. They both have great hands and great length, but Bunting is not quite as athletic as Fleener. When he puts on weight and strength, he can be phenomenal." Why Bunting Chose Michigan: "I looked at a bunch of schools, and Michigan was the last visit I made. It just felt like home to me. It felt like more of a family than anywhere else I visited. That's something that's really important to me. All the coaches were just regular guys. They weren't arrogant. They weren't unap- proachable. They had their wives and kids at the football offices, and that made it really feel like home to me." Head Coach's Comments: "He has a huge upside," noted Hinsdale Central head coach Rich Tarka. "He's a big kid with an opportunity for growth. For a guy his size, he runs very well. He has shown that time and time again. He has great hands. He's been a big playmaker for us."
