The choice to enroll early in college is an easy one to the casual observer. If a high school prospect makes his college commitment early enough, enrolling at the school of his choice in January provides the opportunity to get acclimated to the college expe- rience when he normally would be finishing up his senior year. Adjust- ing to the academic rigors of being a student-athlete — in addition to go- ing through offseason workouts and spring practice with the team — can prepare a young player to contribute early in his college career. The choice isn't always so easy for those high school prospects faced with the decision.
