OTHER SPORTS Will play varsity baseball for the fourth year this spring … Is a first baseman, outfielder and pitcher … Three-year varsity basketball player (2011-13) before giving it up this year. NOTABLE High School GPA: 4.0. Planned Major: Mechanical en- gineering. Favorite M ichigan Athlete: Charles Woodson. Favorite Pro Player: Seattle Se- ahawks QB Russell Wilson. Other Schools Considered: Pur- due, Northwestern and Missouri. Date Of Official Visit To Michi- gan: Dec. 13, 2013. QUOTABLE Brady Hoke's Comments: "No- ah's a big, tall linebacker. He has a lot of range. We're looking for more range, taller guys at that position. He's physical, played with a cast all year on his wrist and had a really good senior year." Tom Lemming of Prep Football Report: "He's not quite as good as Michael Ferns, but he's tall, athletic, rangy and could grow. He's an out- side linebacker, but he can make plays up front, too. These Ohio line- backers are dominating players, and Michigan is taking advantage of Ohio State recruiting nationally." Why Furbush Chose Michigan: "It's close to home, and my brother attends University of Michigan-Flint so he's nearby. It's a great academic school, and I really like the coaches." Head Coach's Comments: "He's a big, strong, athletic kid. He's 6-4, 235 or 240 pounds," Kenton head coach Mike Mauk said. "He runs and moves like a defen- sive back. He's got great strength and great explosion, he changes directions and moves really well. He's got a good burst at the end to make a play. He's a great student, a 4.0 kid who never got a B on his grade card." Furbush recorded 239 tackles, including 43 for loss, and posted three fumble recoveries in his high school career.
