In the Special Programs' section of this book you will find the schedule for alternatives to our tradi- tional daytime programming that range from Book Signings to Meet Ups to Workshops and more. MOVEMENT HOUSE (MVMT HOUSE) SXSW Interactive is excited about the return of the Movement House programming, formerly known as Blacks in Technology (BIT), which fo- cuses on the experience of digital designers, developers, entrepreneurs, trendsetters, and visionaries from the African American com- munity. MVMT House sessions will run for two days at the Hilton Garden Inn on the 18 th floor. Check online for the full schedule. LATINO TECHNOLOGY TRACK (LTT) The Latino Technlogy Track (LTT) is the new- est addition to our programming. LTT explores the impact of the Latino voice on technology and, in turn, the impact of technology on the Latino voice. Given the geographical proximity of Austin to Mexico and Latin America, cen- tral Texas is a hub of diversity and our com- munity is far reaching. LTT takes place at the Holiday Inn Town Lake and is free and open to the public. Attendees will see a broad range of thought leaders and visionaries during its three-day run at SXSW Interactive. DAY STAGE PROGRAMMING Located in Ballroom G on the fourth floor of the Austin Convention Center, programming at the Day Stage is a true convergence experi- ence with programming from both Film and In- teractive where registrants can view film trail- ers, book readings and much more. Open to all Film, Interactive, Gold, and Platinum badges. BOOK READINGS Located at the Day Stage, these twenty-minute long sessions feature one author, sometimes two, presenting their recently or soon-to-be released publications. BOOK SIGNINGS Following a Book Reading, head over to the SX Bookstore located on the fourth floor, outside of Ballrooms D and G where you can get SXSW featured books signed by high-profile authors from Music, Film and Interactive industries. Visit sxsw.tv/imx for the full schedule. FUTURE 15 SESSIONS Curated from proposals submitted through the PanelPicker, these series of 12-minute solo presentations, which are broken down into two groups of four, revolve around a particular topic and perfect for those of you that like to digest as much information as quickly as possible. HOME ROOMS Introduced in 2013, we invite both first-timers and SXSW die-hards to start your day at one of our Home Room locations at the Austin Con- vention Center or at the Courtyard Marriott. Part information, part Meet Up it's the perfect place to network, learn about the day's events and ask the Home Room Leaders any ques- tions that you might have. MEET UPS Connecting is what we do at SXSW Interac- tive. These hour-long networking mixers are dedicated to a particular area of interest or skill-set, led by an expert in the field. MENTOR SESSIONS Mentor Sessions enable less -established new media professionals to gain seven minutes of direct one on one career related counsel from a more established, more experienced new me- dia professional.
