When you buy sustainable seafood, it means
you're purchasing fish or shellfish that has been
raised, caught or harvested in a way that protects
our waterways and ecosystems. It means that fish
populations haven't been over-harvested, so they
can maintain or even increase their numbers as
time goes on, and they've been caught in a way
that is cruelty-free and non-harmful to the
environment. It means that farm-raised seafood
has been raised responsibly and humanely. And
it means that your seafood is free from pollutants
or toxins such as mercury or PCBs.
Right now, you'll find a dozen different sustainable
