OUR PLAYLIST
We present you with 4 of the hottest tracks and mixes out right now...
Enjoying their tunes means enjoying quality music, and that seems
like something they are very conscious about: "We want to spread
our music to as many people as possible and that's the whole
reason for doing it in the first place. It's the satisfaction of mak-
ing it but also of spreading it to as many people as possible. Not
like a preacher or a talker on the TV. We prefer to let our music
do the talking across the world. You make some kind of mark on
people's minds". With heavyweight DJ reputations combined with
their impressive production credentials, Artificial Intelligence are
also renowned for delivering their fresh and versatile sets around
the globe, headlining the world's finest clubs and festivals. In their
hometown of London, they regularly guest at Fabric and feature on
all of the prestigious nights around the city.
Painstakingly put together by
label boss Kasra over the past
year, Underground Sonics is an
exciting overview of modern
day drum & bass, showcasing
the true dexterity of one of the
most well regarded, indepen-
dent electronic music labels in
the UK today. Kasra has pulled
out all the stops, sifting through
his phone book to enlist the tal-
ents of some of the biggest and
most exciting producers in the
game.
Noisia, Dub Phizix, Enei, Phace,
Sam Binga, Mefjus and Kasra
himself all make sterling contri-
butions that make for an album
of the best of Underground
Sonic expression.
TRACK OF THE MONTH
HYBRID MINDS - BLAME
Distinguishing themselves as a
quickly emerging force on the
Drum and Bass scene, Hybrid
Minds consists of Josh White,
Matt Lowe working the produc-
tion, and Jeff Crake also on pro-
duction and vocals. It's not easy
to make waves on the Drum
and Bass scene in a time when
everyone is trying to do some-
thing new and make a name for
themselves. Hybrid Minds how-
ever, clearly have an ambition
in mind. Blame is a simply gor-
geous piece of Drum and Bass
of the liquid variety that does
everything right and puts you
in the zone.
Pure, simple, effortlessly beautiful.
