April Wilson 25
G • 5-7 • So.
Wilson's guided the
Boilermakers well
since taking over full
time at point guard,
mainly because she's
kept her turnovers to
a minimum. The last
two games especially,
when she's had only four, to go along
with 14 assists. Purdue will take that.
Against Nebraska, she was overshad-
owed by the seniors and contribu-
tions from surprise players off the
bench, yet had 10 points, six assists,
five rebounds and two steals.
Courtney Moses

G • 5-6 • Sr.
Moses was on early
against the Corn-
huskers, seeking out
her shot by quickly
utilizing good screens
from teammates. And
even when defenses found her, she
was able to hit others, doing so once
on a screen-and-roll to Liza Clemons.
But she also nailed three more three-
pointers, bringing her to within five
of Katie Gearlds' all-time Purdue mark
of 238. Nebraska didn't do anything
special to try to slow her down —
why not? — but she can expect junk
defenses in the Big Ten tourney.
Dee Dee
Williams 20
F • 6-0 • Sr.
Williams was left
alone by the Corn-
huskers, who chal-
lenged her to make
jumpers. Unlike the
recent string, Williams
couldn't make them
pay. But, it was of little difference,
because Williams was needed on the
floor for other reasons; she held NU
star Jordan Hooper in check, about
nine points fewer than her season
scoring average. And Williams had six
rebounds and six assists, with only a
turnover.
Liza Clemons 23
F • 6-2 • Jr.
Clemons had a quiet
dozen points against
Nebraska, hitting on
five of her seven field
goals. She's had a
very consistent year,
giving Purdue right
around 10 points
and six rebounds in every game. She
gets caught in some weird defensive
matchups occasionally, when teams
decided to go small, but has done
better of late at staying in front of
quicker forwards. Iowa, presuming it
beats Illinois Thursday, will be a chal-
lenge in that regard on Friday.
Camille Redmon

C • 6-4 • Jr.
Redmon was out of
the starting lineup vs.
Nebraska — Purdue
went small, with KK
Houser in for a game
on senior day — and
played only seven minutes. It's not
the best matchup for the tall center,
yet she was still productive, with
five rebounds and two blocks in the
limited time. She might have gotten
more minutes, but three fouls by
early in the second half kept her on
the sideline.

Whitney Bays

F • 6-2 • Jr.
Bays' jump shot has
been a bit off of late,
as she's had several
rim out over the last
couple games. Yet she
very nearly turned in
another double-dou-
ble, collecting exactly 10 rebounds
for the fifth straight game. She had
eight points on 4-of-9 from the field.
One would think that Bays could be
due for a big scoring day, especially if
she can get the 15-foot jumper work-
ing regularly again.
Hayden Hamby
10
G • 5-7 • So.
Hamby looked like
she belonged against
Nebraska, confidently
taking shots and
hitting them. She
scored 10 points on
4-of-6 shooting, with a couple three-
pointers. Seven of her points came in
the first half, helping the Boilers to a
big lead. Hamby was a huge scorer in
high school, one who thrived on get-
ting to the hoop. That's been harder
to do at Purdue, but perhaps adjust-
ments are finally arriving.
Bridget Perry 13
F • 6-2 • Fr.
Perry's burst against
Nebraska was her
second consecutive
solid outing, after
she had seven points
in only five minutes
a week ago against
Wisconsin. It was even
better vs. Nebraska, with 12 points, all
but one in the second half. She was
aggressive, as she usually is, and fin-
ished near the hoop. Her seven free
throw attempts, with five makes, are
proof of that.
Torrie
Thornton 4
F • 6-0 • So.
Williams receives
much of the credit for
the defensive work on
Hooper, but Thorn-
ton did well, too. For
seven minutes, the
long forward got
in the face of the Cornhuskers' star,
making it a difficult afternoon for her.
Thornton did little else, only a foul
and a shot attempt, but the defense
alone was good enough.
