Creighton has been very involved also, on top of the nu- merous mid-major-type schools who have offered the soon-to- be Indiana All-Star. FOOTBALL VISITS Purdue has hosted numer- ous football recruits the past few practices, starting Monday with quarterback commitment Elijah Sindelar, who was to spend the day in West Lafayette weeks after committing early. Browsburg offensive line- man Evan Mallory was set to be on campus as well, potentially along with Noblesville lineman Brandon Knight. Mallory and Knight already hold Boilermaker offers and have each already vis- ited at least once this winter. Friday, Purdue hosted Rivals. com four-star linebacker Reagan Williams, kicking off a whirlwind tour of Big Ten visits this month. Williams, from Jackson, Ohio, said Purdue talked to him most about relationships. "It was just that you have to get through the window dress- ing of what every school has, the good facilities and things like that," said Williams, who previ- ously visited West Lafayette for a junior day last month. "They told me that it comes down to relationships and really estab- lishing and building that and seeing how you fit in at a uni- versity. They said they can really see me there and like what I can do. Their selling point was really about building relationships." NOTEBOOK S Purdue signee Dakota Mathias' high school career ended with a 53-51 loss to Bath High School from Lima. Mathias finished with 17 points, but the 50-percent three-point shoot- er endured a rough shooting game, making 1-of-11 long- range shots. Mathias finished the season averag- ing 26.7 points, 8.1 re- bounds and 5.7 assists, shooting 45 percent from three-point range (after the final game) and 51 percent overall. He was named first-team all-state in Ohio and is consid- ered a Mr. Basketball contender. S Vince Ed- wards made a clutch three, then assisted on a game-winner, as his Middletown High School team slipped past Wilmington 54- 53 to advance to their regional semifinal Wednesday night at Xavier against Cincin- nati Moeller, which is 23-1 this season and features Purdue 2015 big man target Nate Fowler. Edwards' three- pointer with 24 seconds left against Wilmington tied the game at 51-all. Later, he drove, drew a trio of de- fenders and kicked to teammate Kyle Shouse for a banked-in buzz- er-beating three. Edwards finished the game with 20 points and eight assists. j Brian Neubert Four-star linebacker Reagan Williams was at Purdue's spring practice on Friday. The iPad app is available at the App store.
