We have been blown away by what a beautiful job you all have done, not only on the entire magazine, but in the wonderful writing and image spread of our work and Parterre's ["Clas- sic Update," page 190]. Hilary Nylander, via email It was inspiring to read about Matthew Cummings's commitment to renovating historic homes in Ipswich ["Old Soul," page 68]. As an Ipswich resident, I was interested to learn that "there are more remaining first period houses in Essex County than anywhere else in the coun- try, and Ipswich has more first period homes than any other town." I knew this is a place rich in history and old houses, but I wasn't aware of that particular trivia fact. Thanks for the tidbit! Tom Hinkle, via email I read the latest Home issue on the train home tonight and just had to reach out and say this is the best the magazine has ever looked. The editorial content, design, and advertising all come together in a fantastic package from the cover to the last page. Sensational job everyone. This has to be one of the best regional magazines in America and should be put forward for any/all awards this year. Andrew, via email I loved your Flipping Boston story! I watch that show regularly and get a kick out of Dave and Peter, so it was cool to see them in your pages. I was enthralled with the bones of the Kent Street Federal house—they sure don't make houses like they used to! Those brick walls are to die for and I was outright jealous of that wine cellar. The people who bought those units are lucky souls. Lisa Bateman, via email Fun with Furniture and Fabrics Thank you for the introductions to so many interesting people. A wonderful event it was indeed. Zimman's was a festive venue for cel- ebrating Northshore magazine's Home is- sue. And I was delighted to network with the magazine publisher, editor, and other key employees who create the excellent look and vibe of the magazine month af- ter month. It's always a treat to exchange ideas and resources with professionals in the home design industry. Thank you again for a lovely evening. The attention to detail made guests feel welcome and valued. Shannon Gilmour, via email Grateful Gardener Greetings Northshore team! Thanks to you, I know what to look for when I head to the nursery for the first time this sea- son. I am an avid gardener and loved the look of that Japanese Stewardia. I appre- ciate that you provided sources, too! nshoremag.com $5.99 the best of the north shore northshore march 2014 volume 14, issue 2 nshoremag.com A&E's Flipping Boston in Newburyport Restoring Ipswich's Old Houses Tour Gloucester's Beauport Mansion Interior Design at Glen Magna Farms The Home Issue home issue / coastal outdoor kitchens / reproduction furnishings / historic new england north shore RockpoRt RetReat, topsfield Renovation, ManchesteR Manse march 2014 REV3_NS Mar14 CoverYellow.indd 1 1/20/14 4:24 PM '' i read the latest Home issue on the train home tonight and just had to reach out and say this is the best the magazine has ever looked." Andrew, via email photograph by eric roth Corrections In the January/February 2014 issue, we incorrectly listed the phone number for The Carriage House at Lynch Park ("Wedding Views," page 41); the correct number is 978-473-0337. In that same issue, we failed to credit event planner Sita Greelish for the place cards pictured on page 132 ("Eco Elegance"), and to recognize the role played by Timothy S. Hopkins Catering in the Moore wedding. REV _2_Apr14 Letters.indd 14 2/24/14 1:44 PM
