Dye Your Own Easter Eggs! Did you know many common ingredients your Mom and Dad may have in the kitchen are great for coloring Easter eggs? Check out what you have in your house already and ask your parents to help you create naturally colored eggs! RED RASPBERRIES PINK CRANBERRY JUICE RASPBERRIES ORANGE PAPRIKA YELLOW GREEN TEA GREEN SPINACH BLUE BLUEBERRIES CHOOSE YOUR COLORS Add more or less of an ingredient to get lighter or darker colors! BLUEBERRIES BLUEBERRIES PURPLE GRAPE JUICE GREEN TEA BROWN BEETS BE FOOD SAFE! Don't get sick from colored Easter eggs. Store hard- boiled eggs in the refrigerator and don't eat eggs that have been out of refrigeration for longer than two hours. Divide uncooked eggs between 4 pans. Choose 4 dye colors and add each dye ingredient to a pan. Fill each pan with 1 cup water and 1 tablespoon white vinegar. To make fun lines on your eggs, wrap rubber bands around them. Place pans on the stove. Bring water to a boil then reduce heat to low. Let simmer for 15-20 minutes. Remove one pan from the stove at a time. Lift eggs out with a slotted spoon and place in a bowl. Strain dying liquid into the bowl so eggs are completely covered. Repeat with remaining pans and let eggs sit in their bowls until the eggs are slightly cooled off, about 30 minutes. Once eggs are colored, lift them out with a slotted spoon and place them on a rack or strainer until they are dry. Do not place eggs back in their original egg crate after coloring. When eggs are dry, remove rubber bands and enjoy looking at your beautifully colored Easter eggs!
