body knew their role," LeVert re-
flected. "I definitely knew my role.
I'd come in and try to bring a lot of
energy. Get stops, rebounds, knock
down open shots. That's really what
helped us."
LeVert knew something else as
well. Two key components from
that drive to the NCAA Tournament
championship game — Burke and
Tim Hardaway Jr. — were out the
door after that season.
In other words, his fast track away
from the MAC wasn't slowing down
one bit.
Fast-forward 11 months. LeVert is
a second-team All-Big Ten performer,
one of only two Wolverines to start
every game this season. His scoring
average exploded from 2.3 to 13.4 at
the end of the regular season, second
only to Big Ten Player of the Year
Stauskas' 17.4.
A quick run-down of the Big Ten
LeVert was named second-team All-Big Ten after averaging 13.6 points, 2.8 assists and 1.3
steals per game.
