MICHIGAN FOOTBALL Other Sports He Enjoys Playing: "I love basketball. If I could run track, I would, but that is hard when you're up to 265 pounds. But me and the guys, we always play basketball. We have different teams. My team is called Ball Is Life." What He Does With His Teammates After Practice: "We love playing video games, NBA 2K14 and NCAA Football. And we have a Madden tournament go- ing on. It gets really competitive." Dream Vacation: "Some- where in the Caribbean, Ja- maica or somewhere with nice, blue water and stay- ing in a hotel with open doors where you can see right out into the ocean." Major: "General Studies." What He Wants To Do After Football: "I want to work with children from the same communities that I came from. I came from a high-poverty level community in Los Angeles, Calif., before I moved to Cleveland. Both are com- munities where kids need help and need a leader, someone to tell them, 'Just because you're from here, just because there are gangs in the neighborhood, there is still a way out.' "Just growing up, seeing friends get murdered and seeing my parents strug- gles, seeing these different things, made me want to pursue that role as a community leader." Role Model: "My Auntie Regina and Uncle Sean. They are big role models for me. They took me in at an early age and basically made sure I stayed on track, as far as football and school. They did everything in their power to make sure I was successful." Favorite Professional Athlete: "Kobe Bryant, the Black Mamba. That is my guy. I wore his jersey last week. I love Kobe, and I love the Lakers." His Overall U-M Experience: "It has been great. It is life changing. You have coaches who love you and players that you want to be around. They are you best friends. These guys are going to be my best friends for the rest of my live, the best man at my wedding. It is amazing." — Andy Reid Clark said he wants to work with children from disad- vantaged communities after his football career is over. PHOTO BY LON HORWEDEL
