M ichigan's coaching staff has been patient in handing out of- fers to underclassman prospects, but the class of 2016 is starting to see a robust group of players with scholar- ship offers from the Maize and Blue. While Rivals.com has yet to rank players in the 2016 class, it's safe to say that many of these prospects will start with very high rankings. U-M has offered two running backs in Pittsburgh Woodland Hills standout Miles Sanders and Wayne (N.J.) De Paul Catholic star Kareem Walker. Sanders' other offers come from Pitt, Temple and Toledo, while Walker has offers from some of the nation's strongest programs, includ- ing Alabama, Florida, Ohio State and Wisconsin. At wide receiver, Michigan's coaches have issued only one offer, but Richmond (Va.) Benedictine's Scott Bracey could end up as the top wideout in the class. The 6-2, 195-pounder is a teammate of offered 2015 defensive end Clelin Ferrell, and even though he hasn't completed his sophomore year of high school he has more than 20 offers, including from Miami, Ohio State and Virginia Tech. At tight end, Michigan's coach- ing staff is clearly on the hunt for some talented prospect, with three offers already on the table. Miami Gulliver Prep's Joseph Jackson is the most versatile of the group, with the potential to use his 6-6, 235-pound frame at strongside defensive end if tight end doesn't work out. Alabama, Illinois and Pitt are among his other offers. Flower Mound (Texas) Marcus prospect Kaden Smith is similar in size (6-5, 235 pounds), but is more of a true pass catcher. Alabama, Clem- son, Oklahoma, and Texas are among his other offers. The other tight end offer is Buford (Ga.) standout Isaac Nauta, who was actually the first 2016 prospect offered by the Wolver- ines last March. The 6-3, 240-pounder has Georgia, Florida State and Notre Dame among his more than 15 offers.
