MICHIGAN RECRUITING in the 2016 class, and the Wolver- ines have moved quickly on offer- ing some of the best players at that position group nationally. It is also where U-M has its first 2016 pledge in Downers Grove (Ill.) South's Erik Swenson, a potential five-star pros- pect down the road. Allen (Texas) tackle Gregory Little, River Ridge (La.) John Curtis Christian tackle Willie Allen and Lawrenceville (Ga.) Central Gwinnett tackle E.J. Price all have elite offer lists with more than a dozen schools each already in the mix for that trio. Price is a Grand Rapids native who is family friends with former U-M tailback Kevin Grady. Two in-region linemen are in play for Michigan as well. Cleveland St. Ignatius has provided plenty of re- cruiting targets for Michigan in the past, and offensive guard Liam Eichenberg should be the focus of U-M's 2016 recruiting at the Midwest powerhouse. In-state tackle Thiyo Lukusa of Traverse City West High School also holds a Michigan offer, and is expected to eventually accept it and join the Wolverines' 2016 class. On the defensive side of the ball, the coaching staff hasn't been quite as active with offers (a reversal of previous classes, which were heav- ily focused on defense), but those that are on the table are some of the Coaches Host Recruits Michigan's coaches have used the offseason to host a number of their top prospects on campus.
