FOOTBALL RECRUITING (11.9 yards per carry) as a junior, while adding eight receptions for 37 yards and another score. That pro- duction earned him increased college attention and Gatorade Player of the Year honors in Kentucky. While Harris is seemingly back to square one in his recruitment, the re- scinded pledge to Michigan should not harm the Wolverines when it comes to landing him in the end. In fact, the five-star admits that U-M is still atop his list — with plenty of time to go. "Once I decommitted and opened my options back up, I put everyone on an even playing field," he said. "It's hard to say Michigan isn't the top school just because I love it there. It's obviously my first choice. I still want to focus on Michigan, but I want to look at everyone else." If Michigan can re-secure a commit- ment from Harris — something that he's clearly willing to consider — the Wolverines will pick up a player with one of the most robust offer lists in the nation, with plenty of junior-year accolades. Harris has also been se- lected to play in the Under Armour All-America Game in Florida next January. Campbell committed (and then decommitted) to Michigan before Harris, and it is more likely that his choice to re-open his recruitment will see him end up with another school. He decided to reconsider his recruit- ment after seeing Michigan's offense sputter during the course of the 2013 season, and he also had family mem- bers encouraging him to take a longer look at the process. "It was pretty much just me talk- ing to my family and weighing out everything," Campbell said of the reasons for decommitting. "We were just feeling like it was the best thing for us. Slow it down and bring it to my own pace and control it myself. I want to just look at every school that comes and open up my options. I've opened up my options for everybody; everything is open." Whereas Harris admits that Michi- gan still tops his list, Campbell gives no indication which school he favors at this time. Since going back on the market, he has visited North Caro- lina, Florida and Alabama. Those schools, along with Clemson and Florida State, appear to be in strong position, even though the five-star wideout won't admit it. "I don't know right now," said Campbell. "I am just laid back and just letting things go smooth as I can. I have talked with my coaches about it, and I think I won't cut down my list until after the season. Damien Harris "It's hard to say Michigan isn't the top school just because I love it there. It's obviously my first choice. I still want to focus on Michigan, but I want to look at everyone else."
