The usual one point for leading a lap will be suspended for the final four drivers at the last race, so it will be easier to know how they stand and fin- ish—no points, just track position. This fourth change to the Chase prom- ises to make it easier for fans to know who is contending (and winning) that last race. NASCAR is also interested in creating a big- ger emphasis on winning and says it is still working on those plans. The way it stands so far into this sea- son, a win all but guarantees entry into the Chase. Companies still use NASCAR to connect with race fans in a personal, exciting way.
