114 It's been six-and-a-half years since my son Bryant died in his horrible truck accident and the love for Bryant by not only is fam- ily but his friends lives on. Members of the Cordova High School class of 2008 have all moved on from high school but Bryant stays with them forever. Some have graduated from college, married, and had children of their own and hold steady jobs. There are two young men, Cory and Brad, who continue to organize the BK5K, which is the an- nual 5K event we put on to raise funds for Bryant's scholarship. Cory and Brad, along with many friends and supporters, organize the BK5K each year in Memphis, TN. God will use every situation and every person you meet to add value or help you grow. All of us should go through life being a blessing to one another in some way. Joe Kiani founded the medi- cal company I worked for when Bryant died. Today he is the CEO. Every year without fail, this giving man sends a generous dona- tion to my son's scholarship. I had not even met Joe yet when my son died. I had only been with the company for less than three months. It is Joe and others giving and sponsoring that allow us to be a blessing to others. We give scholarship money each year to a deserving senior go- ing to college. My son could have gone anywhere to college with his grades and athletic talent so it makes sense to provide someone else the same opportunity in Bryant's name. Every year we look forward to being reunited with friends and families to celebrate Bryant's life not mourn his death.
