13 AUTHOR'S ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS A lthough I had made the decision to write a book, I still had no idea, no practical understanding, of how I would actually do that. I just wrote and waited on God's timing, and then one day He made it very clear how that would happen. Todd Horne and I grew up walking to elementary school together and were friends all during junior high and some high school. We parted ways when I had to leave all my friends at a crucial teenage time and attend a different high school because the school system decided to draw new boundaries. Remember, even when you think the worst thing has happened to you God can turn that around. More than 30 years later, Todd and I, by chance, reconnected and the rest of the story is written in this book. Todd, with many years of writing, editing and publishing ex- perience, has taken on this project with passion and it has been a blessing to partner with you on this book. You and Ashley are greatly appreciated. I want to thank the Cordova High School class of 2008 for al- ways remembering Bryant and making him such a large part of your senior year. Although he isn't here physically, Bryant is al- ways with you spiritually.
