41 CURVE BALLS, SINKERS AND ACCESSORIES Chapter Six I n January 2007, my daughter decided she needed to be with her friends from high school and decided to leave LSU and move to Knoxville to attend the University of Tennessee. To say I was upset would be an understatement. But I had to let her go, as much as I wanted her here with me, and at LSU, I had come to the realization that we can only pave the way for our chil- dren, the path they choose is ultimately up to them. I knew with one more year of high school left for Bryant he would come here and go to college at LSU. We talked about it all the time. I use to tell him how cute he was going to be in those purple and gold baseball uniforms. We all continued to live in different places but somehow made it work and we still managed to spend good quality time together. Bryant would drive to Louisiana every chance he could, I would drive to Memphis every month and Kristina would fly down to Louisiana and visit every 6-8 weeks.
