46 I walked inside and I immediately had that same old uneasy feel- ing Mothers tend to get. I picked up the phone and called Bryant. I told him to call me when he got to his usual halfway spot where he stopped for gas. As I cleaned up around the house from a play- ful few days, I couldn't shake that feeling. I called him again to see where he was. ''Mom, I am fine! I will call you in a couple of hours when I stop.'' I found myself calling him every hour for the next six hours just to make sure he was safe. Finally, when Bryant turned down his Dad's street, he called me to say he was back and would call me tomorrow. I knew I would be flying all day myself so I told Bryant I would call him as soon as I could.
