65 July 14, 2007 Chapter Eleven I woke up with little sleep and wondering who chose Sunday as visitation and Monday for a burial. I wanted this over, but at the same time I wanted to prolong it because I didn't want to let Bryant go. I still felt him as though he were with me in some inexplicable way. Bryant's friends stopped by one after another, some finding com- fort in telling stories about Bryant, others just sitting and listening to others telling stories. At times, we found ourselves laughing, reminiscing over how funny Bryant was and the stories they were telling me. How you could laugh right now, I would think to myself, but it was easy to laugh when someone was telling on your child. The story about Bryant's class ring sums up both his intelligence and wit. Sean, Bryant's best friend for many years, tells the story of how one night Bryant and a few friends went to a party in the woods, where he probably had no place being.
