83 JOURNALING Chapter Sixteen Journal entry #1: My first Birthday without Bryant -- November 12, 2007 8:32am: T oday marks four months since my son was taken from me. I can't say that the 12th of each month gets any easier for me, but I do know that Bryant is safe and with the Lord! I am told that I should celebrate Bryant's passing but I am not able to do that just yet. I have a song that I wanted to share with you that a dear old friend shared with me the day my son died. Treasure your family, be proud of your children and spend time with the friends that truly love and care for you. Life has no guar- antees except for that one day when life promises to end. I live with no regrets for the way I raised my son. He was ex- ceptional and I am proud of him every day of my life. Don't get bogged down with people or things that will bring emptiness. Work is necessary, but family and good friends are priceless!
