The program's consistency through the majority of that stretch has had its foundation in defense and great goaltending. That trademark started to emerge in the postseason, but Kelly's early struggles and the gauntlet of a schedule the Irish faced forced them to find new ways to pull out wins. "Our guys expect to win," Corrigan said. "They know it's going to take 60 minutes of work. I think that's all a part of it.
