Sen. Kaine will join us Monday at 1:15 p.m. Rep. He also sits on the Subcommittee on Highways and Transit and the Subcommittee on Coast Guard & Maritime Transportation, both of which have jurisdiction over critical issues that affect the growing and ever-changing transportation needs of the U.S. A staunch advocate for NATCA's issues and its membership, Congressman LoBiondo was a key leader in our fight to get basic collective bargaining rights at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), as well as the House passage of H.R. 1765, the Reducing Flight Delays Act of 2013, which ended the April 2013 furloughs. Chairman LoBiondo will join us Monday at 1:45 p.m. Rep. Chairman Latham has fought to keep the FAA operations budget properly funded and the air traffic control system properly financed. He also played a key role during the air traffic controller furloughs, working with appropriators and authorizers to ensure passage of H.R. 1765, the Reducing Flight Delays Act of 2013. Recently, the Congressman chaired the markup of the Transportation Appropriations bill for FY 2015, which funds the FAA operations budget at a level that should prevent furloughs at the FAA and the closure of towers during the upcoming fiscal year.
