Rarely does an artist come through to the forefront of the scene as swiftly as Paleman has. His crisp, Garage influ- enced beats and Deep House swing are liberally contribut- ing to a new pace of UK House music. With releases such as 'Furball' on Swamp81 and his ground-breaking 'All Good EP' on Fulcrum, this young art- ist has rocketed into 2014 with all eyes fixed on him for big things to come. The techy, future-sound that is emerging in cities all over the UK is encapsulated in Paleman's sets, presented in epic fashion with his recent RinseFM time. With support from all over the board from the likes of Loa- fah, Oneman, Zed Bias and Boddika, it is fair to say that the second half of 2014 will be a very eruptive one for this fresh and interesting artist. It is the first track of his new album. It is an album in the celebration of the 21st birthday of the Felix da Housecat alter ego. The opus will release later in the year, but we can feel the energie that Aphrohead wants to offer us in this typical rave party techno track. This little pleasure is released on the "Crosstown Revels' label. OUR PLAYLIST Ain't Nothin' Goin' On But The Rent (Meramek Remix) Lancelot Perro Anthony Naples Romancing the Stone Omar-S Odessa ANTENNA Here's the house/techno on our playlist this month ARTIST OF THE MONTH PALEMAN For Guti his second album entitled Rompecorazones or "heart-breaker" is a tes- tament to his roots and who is is at heart, he relo- cated to Europe 5 years ago and he tells us his story through this album. Before Guti made his mark on the House and Techno scene, he was a highly respected musician in his native coun- try Argentina. He studied Jazz under sev- eral different teachers in- cluding Susana Kasakoff and legendary Jazz pianist Ernesto Jodos, soon after he founded his own band – Jovenes Pordioseros – with whom he regularly played to crowds of 10,000 & more. The album is a beautiful and haunting affair, each track captures a different mood and soundscape, that capti- vates the listener the more you play it. Guti's friend Miguel de Ipola features on Rompecorazones, and most of the songs were recorded in one take. I have so many things to say about what has happened in the last five years," Guti says. "I gave my heart to each song, so the album is statement of who I am and what's inside my heart: it's my way of staying true to myself, my story, my back- ground.". This album is a timeless piece that will stand that test of time, He literally poured his heart and soul into 12 sublime stories. You can play it any time of day and it will touch the soul. We have had it on repeat in the office and there is a rea- son why.
