I DONĀ“T WANNA-KEZNAMDI
California-based reggae artist returns
with his latest videoclip 'I Dont Wanna',
the third single from his critically
acclaimed Bridging the Gap EP.
"Twice" shows Hollie's
evident love of reggae
joined by other influences
including Bond-like strings,
Brazilian percussion, dark
disco and shades of Giorgio
Moroder. The recording
is the follow-up to her
eponymous debut album
"Hollie Cook" that was
released to huge acclaim in
2011. This new album will be
available in various formats
including a vinyl release.
The music video describes
the song's narrative of love
and relationship problems
experienced by a young
couple who are determined
to work through their
problems and save their
relationship.
The videoclip will be
launched with a live concert
next Wednesday May 21
at Trinidad Terrace and
will also be premiered on
the popular video hosting
site Vevo. Keznamdi's
introduction to the music
industry came after the
release of his 'Bridging the
Gap' EP last April which
peaked at number four on
the iTunes reggae charts
and number ten on the
Billboard Reggae Album
Charts.
Vybz Kartel, who is now serving a prison life sentence
for murder, has flooded the industry with his provocative
brand of music and a vibe that has assuredly changed the
face of Jamaican musical convention.
Although he might not reappear for a while, his music
will certainly never die and no one can control the huge
impact of what he has created.
